One Thousand Kilometers? Where did I get such a crazy idea??? I am 5 weeks into the year and I’m supposed to be running about 20Km a week if I want to stay on track for the goal. My total this far: 28Km. Talk about lazy (or busy, maybe)! But still…
If I want to get back on track by the end of this month, I have to run about 7Km per day! 7Km every day for the next 18 days… I don’t know… If I can’t find the time to run enough now, I can’t imagine what it’s going to be like once I am even busier as a second year resident.
My original logic was as follows: If I can get into a good running routine in the first 6 months of the year, it will be such a habit that I will make time for it in the last half of the year. Maybe it will work, maybe it won’t. But I did just call my own bluff and register for that half marathon at the end of May. At least there will be (or should be) plenty of training for that! And as an added bonus, I will get all of that week’s 20+ Kms done in one day!
And I think I have it tough with my 10,000 steps.

I’m not sure about that! You already have a 50K lead on me!

That may be but with the frigid temps this month that lead will go away. I’ve run 20km and it’s sleeps mid month!

Better you than me! Sometimes I tell myself I’m just going for a jog-walk. Before I know it, the endorphins have kicked in, and I’m absorbed by the sky, trees, and clouds. Enjoy!

I know what you mean… I wish I had read your comment before I sad down on the couch… with a container of ice cream and a spoon. Instead of running tonight, I did that.
