I started the day by arguing with my husband about his aggressive winter driving. He calls everyone a “ninny” as he races past them over the snow and ice. I guess I drive like a ninny because I’m cautious and you never know what will happen on these roads. His only reply after I got upset was, “good thing I don’t have to drive with you everyday.” We drove in silence the rest of the way until he dropped me off at the hospital and I wanted to know what time he would be ready to pick me up.
“I don’t know.”
“5:00? Is that okay?”
“No, earlier than that, probably.”
“Well, I kind of need to know. I’ll be scrubbed in surgery all day and I won’t be able to answer my phone.”
“Well, I don’t know what to say.” And he drove off.
We’re sure gonna have a great Valentine’s day dinner tonight…
And, if that wasn’t the best way to start my day, I just say down to eat lunch in the surgeons lounge with none other than the Surgeon who did my scope yesterday. Yup. “You shoved a camera up my ass and then down my throat yesterday, but let’s eat lunch together today…” Good thing the lounge is big.
The day is only half over… What else can make this day more awkward?
Yeah. Lunch is definitely awkward…

Yikes! At least he didn’t comment on eating more fiber or something, right?
OK, lame attempt at a laugh. Hope the rest of the day gets better for you 🙂
