A Day Like Any Other

I left the house at 6:30am

I stood on my feet for the better part of 14 hours.

I ate two meals so fast that I barely tasted them.

I missed my baby’s bedtime and only saw him for an hour this morning.

I finally made it home at 10:00pm.

My feet hurt, my back hurts, my knees hurt.

I’m tired.  So, so tired.

It’s been an great day, though.  And, I couldn’t have enjoyed it more.

I helped bring 4 babies into the world today.

One day, this will be my job.  Everyday.

(Although, a little shorter days would be good too)

    1. Thanks, Julie! I’m getting a little break today since clinic doesn’t start until 1. My preceptor said I could have the morning off to “read.” Ya. That’s what I’m going to do this morning…

Tell me what you think, I'd like to know...
